July 1st was the perfect day for an Arizona summer wedding. The event was held at the Royal Palms Resort in Phoenix, AZ. Elizabeth was stunning in her vintage gown, previously worn by her mother, and of course, Steven was as handsome as could be. I was so honored to be the photographer for their special day. I thought that they would be nervous, but to my surprise, they were so calm. The best of friends, it was obvious. We had our choice of gardens and nooks to pose and laugh for over an hour before the guests arrived. The Royal Palms was so accommodating to the bride and groom. Their room was facing the garden where they were to be married. I caught a shot of Elizabeth in her room peeking out to see the flower petals being sprinkled down the aisle. The ceremony was small, just close friends and family. I loved that a family member was able to marry Elizabeth and Steven.
They gathered indoors for cocktails and appetizers followed by a gorgeous dinner, toasts, a slide show and the cake cutting.
